Brian Baxter has been a tremendous human resource for our student-athlete daughter since 2021, from competing in high school and travel ball to NCAA D1 athletics. Student Athletes benefit immensely from having a confidant other than a parent, coach or teammate and Brian is professional, trustworthy and reliable.

Parent of 3

Brian Baxter has been involved in our three kids’ lives in one way or another for the last 10 years - as a camp counselor, coach, boss and mentor. There is no one in the community I would trust more to provide sports psychology guidance to a student athlete than Brian.

My son made it to the state track championships his freshman year, but he ran one of the worst races of his life. Despite being a talented runner, he lacked self-confidence and felt intimidated by his competitors. We connected him with Brian to work on the mental aspects of running and competition.

Since then, my son has won two state championships in cross-country and signed with a Division I college. He continues to use the strategies Brian taught him to overcome mental challenges. He is confident and calm throughout training and when the stakes are high.

We are forever grateful for Brian's work with our son. It truly changed the course of his life.

Our 12-year-old plays soccer at a high level and has incredible, supportive coaches, yet he was still struggling deeply with confidence during games. The pressure became so overwhelming that he began faking injuries during tournament finals just to avoid playing. As parents, it was heartbreaking because we knew how talented he truly is and that he was capable of playing at an even higher level than what he was showing on the field.

We were desperate to find help and were fortunate to come across Brian. From the very first session, Brian was fantastic. Although our son was extremely standoffish and hesitant to talk at first, by the end of that initial meeting Brian had him opening up and even looking forward to the next session.

Over the course of about a month, the progress was remarkable. Each session built on the last, and we could clearly see our son gaining tools to manage pressure and control his nerves during games. The confidence he’s developed has been worth every penny. Now, when we notice his confidence starting to slip for any reason, Brian always makes time for us, and our son leaves those sessions ready to perform with confidence again.

Brian has truly been a lifesaver for our family. He is someone you absolutely want alongside your child on their athletic journey if they are struggling with confidence or performance anxiety. He is genuine, incredibly effective, and truly cares about the kids he works with. Our son wishes he could do weekly sessions.

Brian also met with our 15-year-old and helped him tremendously as well. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate, schedule a session. Your child will thank you.

Technical Director of Soccer Chance Academy

Brian has been a consistent source of information and unconditional support for SCA since the club's inception. Brian has worked with our players and families and given them the tools to be best placed to impact the next phase of their journeys. Brian has equipped not just players and families but staff to ensure best practice is applied and there is no question without Brian's impact we may have lost players to the game. We are excited and enthused to continue to work with Brian to ensure our players get the care and support he advocates and delivers.

Best,

Joe (Technical Director - Soccer Chance Academy)

I’ve got bragging rights to share!  J  Sam’s soccer team *won* the Gold Division Challenge State Cup tournament!

Her team played the team that cut her two years ago.   They were pretty evenly matched with a lot of back and forth – both teams having some good opportunities that just didn’t go in.  Sarah had a gorgeous shot that just missed.  Into stoppage time the other team was up by 1.  A teammate passed it up to Sarah who flicked it to a forward.  The forward was able to get the ball through the other team’s defender’s legs and she SCORED!!!  Tying the game.  They kicked off and the whistle blew!  They scored with about 30 seconds left in the game.  Talk about close!

They then played two 15 minute overtimes with the score remaining 1-1.  Then it was PKs. Sarah stepped up and drilled her PK, winning the game!  It was soooooo nice to see her score on her old team.  What a nail biter!

Sam played the entire game both games.  After the win on Saturday, her smile was worth everything!  She was soooo happy!  Thank you so much!

Just wanted to let you know that two weeks ago I competed in the fencing Summer Nationals. I competed in two events, Div 1A and Div 1. I won the Div 1A event which is half a step below the top level of Div 1 making me the Div 1A National Champion and took 22nd in Div 1 which will move me into the top 60 on the national points list.

Thanks for all the help and work we did together it really helped me a lot during the day and through all the training I did leading up to it.
